The Sig Sauer P229 is a semi-automatic medium-frame pistol chambered in .357 SIG. SIG Sauer is a German based arms manufacturer, but the P229 is manufactured in Exeter, New Hampshire. As noted by the manufacturer, the P229 use is prevalent among law enforcement professionals in the US.  The P229 features black polymer grips, a black hard anodized alloy frame, and a Nitron coated alloy slide.
